Châteauneuf-Grasse: a village between Grasse and Valbonne
Where to eat in Châteauneuf-Grasse? A portrait of the Alpes-Maritimes village where La Marmite Enchantée is located, between Grasse, Valbonne, Opio and Gourdon.

People often ask where exactly we are. The short answer: in Châteauneuf-Grasse, 20 route de Gourdon, in the hills between Grasse and Valbonne. But the village deserves more than an address.
A hill village in the Pays de Grasse
Châteauneuf-Grasse is a commune of the Alpes-Maritimes with around three thousand inhabitants. The old village sits on its hill, with narrow lanes, vaulted passages and a view over the valley. Around it, residential areas, olive trees, and roads winding towards the neighbouring villages: Opio, Le Rouret, Le Bar-sur-Loup, Plascassier.
Well placed for everyone
- Grasse, the perfume capital, is about ten minutes away by car.
- Valbonne and the Sophia Antipolis technology park are right next door: many of our lunchtime customers work there.
- Gourdon, the village perched above the Loup gorges, is at the end of the road that passes the restaurant.
- Cannes and the seaside are about half an hour away.
Lunch or dinner in Châteauneuf-Grasse
The village has kept its shops and restaurants alive, which is not so common in the hinterland. La Marmite Enchantée has been part of it for several years, with its homemade Asian fusion cooking. People come for lunch with colleagues, dinner with the family, or to pick up an order placed online on the way home.
Parking, getting here, leaving
The restaurant is on route de Gourdon, easy to find and reach from Grasse, Valbonne or Opio. If you are in a hurry, online ordering avoids the wait: you choose your time slot and your meal is ready when you arrive.
And if you are just passing through, on the way to Gourdon or the Loup gorges, it is a good excuse to stop.
